Saudi Apache Attack Choppers Light Up Houthi Convoy

Saudia Arabia attack helicopters engage a Yemen Houthi rebel convoy near the Saudi Yemen Border. The Houthis are key players in an alliance of rebels formally known as Ansar Allah — or “Partisans of God” — who follow Shiite Islam. Houthis control much of northern Yemen, having taken over the capital Sanaa in September 2014 and pushed the government into exile in November 2015. Part of the reason for Saudi combat involvement, is that Yemen sits on Saudi Arabia’s back doorstep, and a hostile government there could put southern Saudi communities in danger.
